Great is thy Faithfulness.

Just a random thought, for Monday morning.

At church yesterday morning, we sang this hymn...

"Great is thy faithfulness, Great is thy faithfulness
Morning by morning, new mercies I see.
All I have needed, Thy hand hath provided.
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me."

The words and tune are going around in my head. Which I quite enjoy - the old hymns are my favourites. It's simplicity and faith are echoing through my busy day.

I love to sing. If I was technically minded enough, you would all have heard my tuneful exuberance by now! Do you have a song that is going round and round in your head today (or is it just me??)? What is it, and why do you think you have latched onto it??

  1. I almost always have a song going around in my head, but usually it's a child's song from one of their CD's. Why is it there? I don't know.

  2. I always get stuck on a song it seems. Right now its Better Together by Jack Johnson:)

  4. Thanks for posting the quotation from Thomas Chisholm's hymn, "Great Is Thy Faithfulness." (Today is the 143rd anniversary of Chisholm's birth.) The hymn is one of my favourites too. Each day seems to bring a new batch of the challenges we face in life. Great to know that God's mercy and grace are freshly available each day as well.

If you'd like to know more about the hymn's author, and other hymn-related events associated with today, you can check out my blog. God bless.
