Milestones...

You are cruising along, thinking that maybe you can actually cope with this motherhood business, and then, out of the blue, you notice that your little darling is proudly displaying to you their new skill -- perhaps, the ability to find a squished gecko lizard in the tracks of your sliding glass doors and put it in their mouth before you have the time to even contemplate being squeamish.

Or perhaps, like today, Naomi pulls up on the couch for the first time, totters a step or two along it and looks up with a huge gummy smile. I am such a proud mummy that I have emailed this photo to all the family!
